RESEARCH PROJECT

SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND PANDEMIC RESILIENCE

Cissie Gool House

Reclaim The City was formed as part of a campaign supported by the Ndifuna Ukwazi organization. The campaign started in 2016 as a response to the spatial apartheid in Cape Town. The campaign is focused on pushing the government for affordable and decent housing, desegregation and land justice. The campaign also helps residents resist unjust evictions, stop the sale of public land and disrupt property power through litigation, protests and occupation. The campaign also educates residents on their rights when it comes to housing and evictions.
